When we think about a plumbing problem we imagine a sunny day, with birds chirping and music playing on the radio. This is not the case for everybody. Think of the people on the north and south of our planet. They have extreme temperature conditions most of the time. It snows and it is cold. Pipelines get solidified and do not let the fluids travel freely.

Other places where conditions can become extreme are rainy areas. Just picture in your mind an area full of water where pipelines cross under it. If you try to fix a plumbing issue there you will be in serious problems. I really appreciate the effort that plumbers apply in order to go out of those situations in a victorious mode.

Handling tools in extreme weather conditions become harder. Imagine using a hacksaw in the middle of the water or in a very cold place. It is not easy. You need to work with more caution and a little slower in order to increase the safety. Most of the plumbers start as an apprentice until they get enough experience and are able to work alone by themselves defeating those extreme weather conditions.

Temperature and water are not the only conditions that make plumbing problems more difficult to resolve. There are installations in a high position. For example if you need to work in the roof of a building or in a bridge, you will need safety devices in order to work there. You can not distract from what you are doing because the risk of falling down is big. You need to be very careful with your tools and fixtures, because they can fall down also and damage some thing or injure some person passing by.

Another situation that becomes difficult for solving plumbing issues is a dark place. That situation may be in the night when power is gone. Also it can be in a site distant from power sources. You will need flashlights and batteries or some similar light source that gives you light enough in order to be able to work. If you need something else than the tools and fixtures you have on hand, you will probably last a long period of time to get them when working under those conditions.

Plumbing problems not always come alone; some times they are part of a bigger scenario where other factors need to be solved along with it. Even though plumbers are required to fix a plumbing problem, they must take in consideration which other conditions are involved when writing the invoice. Make sure you detail the reason for the extra cost you are applying in the bill in order for the customer to feel He is being fairly charged.
